Salient Sports sign pact with Hungarian kit manufacturer

Kenya’s fastest rising sports Management Company Salient Sports and Hungarian sportswear manufacturer Fodox Sports Group have entered into a pact that sets the Kenyan company as Fodox Sportswear’s official agent in the Eastern and Central Africa region.

Under the partnership Salient Sports will market, manage and distribute Fodox Sportswear in the region as the sole representative of the Hungarian brand.

The immediate mandate of Salient Sports is to set up a marketing plan and to locate the needs of Fodox brand with a view of creating an empire in kitting clubs, federations as well as individual sportspersons and private institutions in the region.

Fodox Sportswear, a brand with deep African roots was founded by Fofana Lassina and has kitted several renown clubs in the Ivory Coast as well as Hungary and elsewhere in the world.

The Hungarian sportswear manufacturer produces quality clothing for football, Futsal, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Field, Tennis and Padel.

The company is headquartered in Szeged, Hungary and the brand’s ranking falls in the top ten among sportswear manufacturers.

Some of the football clubs proudly donning the Fodox brand in Africa include CAPS United of Zimbabwe, AS Pikine of Senegal, Inter Club of Congo Brazzaville, Atla Bara of South Sudan, RC Burkina Faso, Berekum Chelsea of Ghana and Africa Sports of Ivory Coast. Szeged 2010 dons the brand in Hungary.

The development is a welcome relief to regional clubs, athletes and institutions which now have a recognized brand with which they can regularize their kitting.

Fodox Sportswear’s foray into the region should mark the end of an era in which brand confusion reigned among athletes and teams.

Salient Sports, run by consummate professionals dedicated to the growth of sports in the region have yet another challenge to pull up clubs, institutions and athletes to the kitting standards exhibited elsewhere in the world.
